This was taken at Besta's new product launch at the Mines KL. A crowd had gathered when my family and I arrived. His fan club members were together at one side. I spotted a familiar face near the stage but didn't pay too much attention. I was also not wearing my glasses.
While waiting for the event to start, I felt a hand tapping my shoulders and I looked sideways only to see my ex-colleague. Ahah - I remembered him as Andrew. He then lead me near the front of the stage reserved for members of the press. It was there I managed to take some great shots of Nicholas.
I found out he is now the VP of this company that markets Besta products (electronic dictionary). I later on met his wife and daughter who arrived later. She was also my ex-colleague :)

What Our Politicians Say ...
"If the government was prepared to interfere in 1988 judiciary crisis which brought it to the present state of affairs, the government has a duty to re-interfere in order to repair the damage," ~ The former Lord President, Salleh Abbas, said at a forum 'Judiciary Crisis - How to Stop the Rot?'
"Why do we have to interpret (the constitution) when it is clearly said that non-Muslims are not allowed to spread religions other than Islam to the Muslims?" ~ Mohamed Nazri Aziz, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department on the delay by certain states in Malaysia in adopting the Control and Restriction Bill which forbids any persons from persuading or influencing a Muslim to leave Islam for another religion.
"Please, don't test the Malays; in another word that they know 'amok'. We don't want to reach that level. In the present situation, the Malays can still take it but efforts to enhance the Malays' economy need to be intensified." ~ Mohamed Rahmat, secretary-general of UMNO, warning the other component parties of Barisan Nasional not to test the patience of the Malays
"If a Malaysian Chinese or Indian politician had warned of riots, being prepared to shed blood or even going 'amok', the Internal Security Act would have been invoked." ~ Lim Kit Siang, leader of the DAP, the main opposition party, in response to Mohamed Rahmat's remarks.
"Datuk Hisham has unsheathed his keris (ceremonial Malay dagger), waved his keris, kissed his keris. We want to ask Datuk Hisham, when is he going to use it?" ~ Hashim Suboh, UMNO delegate, teasing Hishamuddin's remarks.
"Saya syukur Angkasawan kita setelah meninggal dunia sepuluh hari kini selemat di kebumi" ~ Samy Vellu (so I was told) on Malaysia's first space tourist.
"Our system is transparent. There has never been fraud in the EC. I have been in the EC for 25 years and I even tried to see if there was any candidate who lost because he or she was a victim of fraud." ~ Abdul Rashid, Election Commission Chairman, commenting on transparent ballot boxes.
"Times have changed and I think that we cannot allow Malays to look at the crosses and statues without explanation." ~ Syed Hood Syed Edros, MP for Parit Sulong, on the Crosses and Statue of Virgin Mary often seen in missionary schools.
